| This journey to the cross is presented by Phoenix Community Church, United Church of Christ as an Easter reflection and meditation on the last days of Jesus: teacher, healer, and beloved child of God. Jesus was crucified by the Roman Empire for challenging the injustices of the society and religious hierarchy of his day. His life and teachings show us a path to a right relationship with God and can be summed up with the commandment to love God "with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind" and to "love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:34-40) |
